2005: OVER 750,000 ACCIDENT FREE MILES
JEFFERY BALLARD
was honored with a dinner on September 6, 2005 for his achievement
of being named Ryder Truck Driver of the Month
for
March 2005. Jeff has logged over 750,000 accident free miles during
his 14 years as a driver for Carolina Paper Tubes.
The award was
earned by topping approximately 3000 drivers in the South Carolina/Augusta
Region said Kathryn Betten, Safety and Loss Prevention Manager for
Ryder.
Jeff will now
qualify to compete for the next level in the awards program which
is the Ryder Columbia Business Unit Driver of the Year.
Stan Schreiber,
Customer Development Manager of Ryder Transportation Services of
Fletcher, presented Jeff with a bag filled with Ryder items and
a plaque citing his accomplishments. A plaque was also presented
to Jerry and Pennie Melton, owners of Carolina Paper Tubes, Inc.
and production manager, Gregg Shealy, thanking them for providing
the safe driver program.
